Day 11: Barcelona - San Francisco

The ship docked at the Barcelona port at 5:00 AM in the morning, and passengers were allowed to disembark between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM. We decided to self disembark where we carried our own luggage so we had flexibility on the time. We pre-booked a van to take us to our hotel from the port which was a great move! The line for taxi outside the port was CRAZY!

We couldn't believe our vacation was almost over. My family was really looking forward to do some shopping in Barcelona. However, we were not aware that on Sundays, MOST shops in Barcelona were closed. :( We didn't want to believe it at first and walked around Las Ramblas and Passeig de Garcia, but the majority of the shops were indeed closed. There were only some souvenir shops and cafe restaurants open. Boo! Note to self, do not travel to Barcelona hoping to shop on Sundays. Luckily, our van driver told us about this mall that was open. They did not carry the brands that we wanted, but we decided to check it out to kill time and actually bought some clothes.

Our hotel this time was Hotel H10 Universitat. The location was great but we liked Hotel Pulitzer better. The condition of this hotel was a little more run down, although they did have a nice rooftop bar.

For dinner, we booked a Flamenco show & dinner combination through our hotel at Palacio del Flamenco. It was a little bit pricey so we booked the shorter show (40 minutes) instead of the 60 minute main show option. The food was so-so and the show was just ok. We actually enjoyed the Flamenco show at our cruise ship better.

Our vacation was coming to an end. We left early the next day with great memories and experiences. :)
