I was casually browsing for options for a quick one night getaway to celebrate Valentine's day (well, it's really just my made up reason to travel...:p), and I came across H2 Hotel in Healdsburg that would be perfect for our trip. It fit every criteria of a hotel that we would enjoy: it's very modern, stylish, eco friendly. I found a pretty good rate for a Sunday night stay, so we decided to take Monday off for a short weekend trip, much needed R&R.
Additionally, we had a Segway Groupon that we needed to use, so we booked the activity for when we were in Healdsburg. One of the other reasons why I chose Healdsburg was because I have been wanting to try Cyrus, and it was located a couple blocks away from our hotel. Our trip started to come together, so we pulled the trigger and booked our trip!
Healdsburg is a small town about an hour north of San Francisco. We have been to Napa and Sonoma many times before but had never visited Healdsburg. The town center was very cute and compact, and there's a small square park in the center--very similar to Sonoma. We arrived around 10:30 AM and walked around town before our lunch reservation at Barndiva.
The downtown area was quite small; we could probably walk around it in 15-20 minutes. There were plenty of quaint furniture shops, bakeries, clothing stores, as well as boutique hotels. Our hotel was located on the main road, along with other hotels and inns.
Street parking was free for 3 hours between 9AM-6PM. When we arrived that morning, parking was pretty easy to find. However, we noticed in the afternoon and at night, parking was much harder to find. It was the weekend which was probably one reason why.

Some of the activities in Healdsburg include wine tasting, segway, or biking around town. Healdsburg was definitely a great alternative to Napa or Sonoma, and it definitely held its own with some notable restaurants.
